Family Travel Resources

I am starting to think that traveling is one of the largest industries covered on the internet, whether it is through travel booking sites like travelocity.com, travel search engine such as kayak.com or uptake.com, or the zillions of blogs written by avid or want-a-be travelers, there is an abundance of information available at your finger tips. I read a very interesting article on CNN, the Top 25 travel Web Sites as rated by Leisure + Travel. I’m not sure I personally agree with all of their picks in the categories, but worth checking out because there are some very interesting sites that would definitely come in hand. Such as homeandabroad.com. Just a fun site that helps you customize an itinerary. The have done an excellent job with displaying the detail of each place by your desired vacation theme as well.
Another of our favorite sites that this article fails to mention though is JohnnyJet.com. He posts daily deals and I love his detailed reviews of the many places he has visited. I just want his job!
Since we are mainly focused on traveling with your kids we have created our own travel resource page on our totsonthego.com page that we think you will find very useful. It lists some of our favorite Family Travel blogs and we also list fun things to do in cities all over the world. Granted we have some ways to go to developing our list, but we are getting there with your help. We would love to hear your suggestions on some of your favorite things to do when you traveled with your family. So please feel free to send us a comment and we will add your city and recommended place to visit on our webpage.
Also join our facebook fan page for great travel tips, travel discussions and awesome giveaways and/or follow us on twitter.
Thanks and travel often!
